- Working closely with Senior Management.
- Implementing and managing the commercial process across the contracts they are responsible for to optimise productivity and profitability.
- Taking the lead on key commercial issues on the contracts they have responsibility for, and reporting to the Senior Management as necessary.
- Ensuring timely applications for payment, collection of cash and monitoring debtors on the contracts under their control.
- Ensure robust and thorough project forecasts are produced - maximising opportunity and minimising risk.
- Ensure consistent monthly CVR reporting and presenting to Senior Management.
- Ensure effective change management controls are in place and all appropriate contractual notices are issued on contracts under their control.
- Procurement and management of subcontract packages on the contract under their control within the limits of the table of Authority
- Advising the Operational team on commercial approach, risks and opportunities.
- Manage best practice commercial site functions including appropriate record keeping and reporting regimes.
- Contribute to tender process and provide feedback to estimators.
- Contribute to the wider business objectives.
- Deal with and resolve any issues escalated by wider team members.
- Lead with and drive Client software systems to manage and run all elements of live themes.
- Encourage and furnish wider team members with best contractual practices.
- Assist wider members of the management team and actively contribute in the population of scheme programmes.
- Oversight and management of site record sheets for cost reimbursable applications.
- Adaptable to a range of working locations including site offices and welfare, company head office and Client offices.
- Subcontract procurement/approval and payment authorisations within inner levels of sign off.
- Identification of project risks and management of these risks on a scheme-by-scheme basis.
What Skills & qualifications do we require?
- Preferably a Quantity Surveying Degree or similar
- Previous experience in a similar role / discipline
- Ambition to progress your career through our professional development programme
- Full UK driving license
