Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water Team of the Month

We are delighted to announce another ‘TEAM OF THE MONTH’ award for our specialist reactive water sector teams working with Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water on the reactive ‘Upstream Losses Trunk Mains Repairs’.

Works consisted of trunk main repairs, requiring significant engineering design and construction works to ensure 18,000 customers were totally unaffected whilst works were ongoing.

Under-pressure techniques were used to maintain supplies whilst a section of 26” cast iron trunk main was replaced and new valves were installed.

Not without its challenges, the team were well rehearsed in under-pressure techniques with the help from our supply chain partner UTS Engineering Ltd, works encountered 6m+ depth excavations and repair works.

Exceptional and class leading teamwork combined with continual safety collaboration ensured a successful result for all involved.

Another excellent project undertaken by our 24/7/365 reactive teams working across the entirety of Wales.
