Our volunteer team were only too happy to help out at the Avalon Summer Camp with Wessex Water when asked for extra hands to set up the summer camp.
The organisation runs a camp for disadvantaged children, first from London and then from Bristol, however for three years there has been no camp.
This year was the restart of camp – over 60 children will be getting a week full of activities in the country, a fun chance to leave their troubles behind.
Working with a volunteering group from Wessex Water, the team put up all of the tents and got the place ship shape for the children to arrive!
A hard day of work in the sun for those used to working in the office……but a great day and such a valuable cause to be supporting!
