Potable Water

Ever changing communities, population growth and the effects of climate change are having an effect on how we use water.

We work to protect this valuable resource by increasing efficiency, cutting wastage and improving quality.
Our global approach to whole life costing, carbon reduction, off site manufacturing and optimising operational maintenance means we offer innovative, value for money solutions.

Our strategic partnership with Bristol Water delivered an innovative turn key, design and build solution for the protection of eels from the raw water intake at Purton treatment works.

Waste Water

Our strategic partner position on major civils frameworks with our core water sector clients has delivered key process improvements, future resilience and capacity enhancements to the water treatment process.

Our success is founded on promoting early contractor involvement initiatives, driving innovation and efficiency improvements. This combined with our civil and MEICA capability demonstrates the value we bring to the table.

Successes include:

  • To comply with an Environment Agency directive, Wessex Water were required to upgrade the treatment works at West Huntspill to improve bathing water quality in Bridgwater Bay. We were appointed as strategic partner to provide our engineering expertise to construct a new activated sludge plant, pumping station and associated works.
  • We also deliver specialised engineering services through our strategic partnership with Wessex Water to reduce phosphorus in the effluent, in collaboration with the Water Industry National Environment Programme. Services include upgrading many of the treatment works within the Wessex Water operating area.
