Our North Wales teams working with Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water installing a donated footbridge from our Cilcain Reservoir Discontinuation scheme.
The Cilcain project is restoring the disused reservoirs to their former natural state and re-naturalising this area of the watercourse. The reservoirs will once again become a river forming part of the Nant Gain watercourse – putting them back to how they were before the dam was raised in the early 1900s.
Through careful design, it is hoped that the scheme will lead to an improvement in the biodiversity in the area, allowing wildlife to flourish .
The bridge was donated to the local allotment community in conjunction with new access paths and bridge abutments, allowing better access for the local community.
“Your team have been amazing, so helpful and polite and we really can’t thank you all enough!”
Everyone was over the moon, and the team were even given some Eccles cake for their hard work – win win!
