What Skills & qualifications do we require?
- Experience using Coins as an accounting software
- Professional accounting qualification – ACCA/ACA/CIMA/ICAEW
- High level of integrity, being trustworthy and respectful of confidential information
- Excellent communication skills, with a flexible and approachable manner; both written and verbal, for preparation of and delivery of reports and analyses
- Meticulous accounting skills and knowledge of procedures
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire the finance team
- Ensure efficient processing/reporting of data under a tight timetable
- Develop effective relationships with other departments and the Board
- Check that internal controls are effective and, as a minimum, comply with Group Minimum Requirements
- Liaise with Renew Group Central departments
- Monthly management accounts and supplementary analysis for Board
- Ensure effective credit control functions
- Support the preparation of weekly cash forecasting
- Control of and reporting on overhead spend
- Budget preparation and analysis
- Support the preparation of the monthly commercial report analysing projects performance
- Year-end pack and statutory accounts including liaising with external auditors
- Corporation tax computation and liaising with external tax advisors
- Ensure accounting standard adherence for financial transactions and reporting
- Payroll supervision
- Active member of the Renew Group’s Internal Audit Function and Finance Forum
- Effective management and control of purchase ledger and subcontract ledger functions
